"Lord, I Need You Now More Than Ever"

Background: I wrote this song the night before my first son was born. I was in Corpus Christi, Texas, preaching a series of revival meetings while my wife remained at home pending the birth of our first child. During the night, I spent several hours in prayer in the dark church auditorium. I was overwhelmed at the new responsibilities I would soon face as a new father, as well as the enormous responsibilities of fulfilling the call of God to preach the gospel to every creature. This song was born at about 2 AM out of that prayer-time.
