SEE COMPLETE LIST OF ARTICLES ON HOME PAGE Thanksgiving THANK: "To express gratitude, appreciation, or acknowledgment to." by Ken Raggio THANK GOD that He is our benevolent Creator who has given us not only life, health and strength in this mortal tenure, but also the opportunity to see and know Him in His infinite and eternal glory, embodied in His only begotten Son, and our Savior, Jesus Christ. THANK GOD for His infallible Word, which speaks to us, to teach and reveal Him, His will and His ways to us. THANK GOD for His invitation to be born again to a new and eternal life, by the virtue of His sacrificed blood, which can cleanse us of our sins and failures, the waters of baptism, which can remit the sins which would have damned us, and the infilling of His Spirit, which can instill His eternal life into our souls. THANK GOD for His Church, where we may learn of Him, and for a Man of God sent to care for our souls. THANK GOD for the Hope of Christ, that we may be saved and delivered from this present sinful world into His glorious 1000-year earthly Kingdom to come. For the Hope of Heaven, that we may spend eternity in His New Heaven, New Earth and New Jerusalem. THANK GOD that we are the recipients of countless blessings which are mostly taken for granted - eyes to see, ears to hear, tongues to taste, a nose to smell, touch to feel, a mind to know, a heart to understand, and a mouth to speak. THANK GOD for food to nurture and sustain us, for a home to shelter us, a bed to sleep in, a kitchen to cook in, a tub to bathe in, and a car to take us where we need to go. THANK GOD for the present joys of family and friends. For a loving spouse, and precious children, and blessed grandchildren. For kisses and hugs and snuggling up in the cold. THANK GOD for every amenity and luxury of life. For the birds that sing, and the flowers in spring, and the rivers that flow, and the winds that blow; for the times and the seasons of life which thrill us with rains and snows and rainbows and dews. In everything... For everything...
