Bracing for One-World Religion Are you ready for the World Government of Religion? By Ken Raggio The Day has finally arrived... Here we are, well-launched into the seventh millennium of human history. The seventh day, the final day, of God's week. There were four millennial days before Calvary, and two millennial days since. The Sabbath millennium is next: God's Great Day, the Day of Rest. It is the time when the Bible indicates that Jesus Christ will establish a global kingdom in the earth. The seventh day. So say multitudes of Bible students from ages past unto the present day. Of course, nothing is incontrovertible. People argue against GOD Himself. But the jury is just about out on this one. In just a short while, all our prophetic prognosticating and speculating will have either been proved to be nothing short of Divine revelation, or the biggest hoax man has ever known. Between now and then, under the dictates of the rising New World Order, what you believe about God and religions will soon become a matter of life or death - quite literally. The crew that is presently taking charge of world affairs has carefully written it into their agenda to get rid of Bible thumpers. The social and political options for a fundamental, evangelical Christian are getting narrower and narrower. We can either stick to what we believe the Bible says, or bail out - compromise our deep-rooted convictions. That is a bigger decision than first meets the eye. Freedom of Religion is succumbing to the New World Order Two critical organizations, both created in San Francisco, have invested heavily in attempting to shape the future of the world. The Gorbachev Foundation/USA conducted the State of the World Forum in San Francisco, as a "Brain Trust" of eminent globalists. Their objectives included creating a comprehensive
paradigm for New World Order. Theirs was a virtual provisional government-in-waiting, formulating and eventually implementing a new, ready-made ideological infrastructure for
the United Nations and its subsidiaries. "Coincidentally," headquartered in the same city where the State of the World Forum was created, (not to mention the United Nations itself), at San Francisco's famous Presidio is the United Religions Organization, an international "religious" body whose agenda is to provide ecumenical governance to all religious movements of the world. The United Religions Organization drafted its new charter in June, 1997, and embarked on a mission intended to accomplish what failed earlier under the World Council of Churches, the World Parliament of Religions, the Temple of Understanding, and every other global religion operation of the past several decades. That mission is to find the common denominators of all the world's religions and create a world government of religions from them, carefully squeezing out and eliminating divisive elements. What goes unsaid is that it will legally become the religious arm of Big Brother - and anyone who fails to get on the wagon will simply have to disband and close up shop eventually. Before we can comprehend it, the United Religions Initiative will have evolved, in one form or another, into a full-blown one-world government of religions. By the end of this article, I intend to show you at least a few of the most recent high-visibility moves to lasso all the world's religions and homogenize them into a watered-down, universally accepted one-world religious platform. At the forefront of this grandiose undertaking was Episcopal Bishop William E. Swing, of the California Diocese, and San Francisco's Grace Cathedral - an ultra-liberal pseudo-Christian outfit. Grace Cathedral has been a breeding ground for Ecumenical activism, and has hosted numerous think-tank events featuring the most exotic religious thought. Among Swing's most ardent supporters for URI is the Dalai Lama, (the alleged fourteenth "incarnation" of Buddha), Archbishop Desmond Tutu of South Africa (a former executive in the World Council of Churches), and even "the Islamic head of the Supreme Court of Pakistan." Prior to the United Religions chartering in 1997, Swing consulted with Mother Teresa, the late King Hussein of Jordan, "high-level Muslim leaders in Cairo, and rabbis in Jerusalem." He also invited representatives from Istanbul, Rome, and Canterbury. "We're on the threshold of the first global civilization," Swing said. "As we become one global unit, we have to find out where religion is in regard to our global tribe." "There has to be some kind of division between folks who have been around a long time with a lot of clout, and those who have been here a short time. . . . If you take the Muslim and the Roman Catholic voices, each has more than a billion people." With the largest religions in mind, he proposes that the United Religions Organization take a similar structure to the United Nations, with a General Assembly and Security
Council. In 2006, Swing retired from Grace Cathedral to devote more time to the URI. I personally attended the largest meeting of its kind during the 2005 WORLD SUMMIT at the United Nations headquarters in New York. While presidents and prime ministers from 153 nations met in the General Assembly, I sat with hundreds of global diplomats in the Economic and Social Council as they attempted to hammer out an "interfaith" strategy to enable nations to bring opposing religious groups together and abandon their differences. I listened to testimonials by government officials from various nations who had already conducted mandatory work-sessions between major religious leaders in their country. They showed great enthusiasm about having governments taking responsibility for bringing the religions together to eliminate their differences and forge ecumenical ties. I nearly trembled as I considered the implications of governments forcing religions to give up their beliefs for "world peace." I listened to Heads of State voice their desires to require religious leaders to meet under their auspices to settle their differences. Such a scheme could force me to a table to settle my differences with a radical extremist Muslim! In very fact, several nations are already practicing just that! It comes as no surprise to me that the URI was born in the same Socialistic breeding-ground that the UN was born in 1945 - San Francisco. In consideration of statements that have been made by URI
proponents, it will also come as no surprise when smaller "sects" like fundamentalist Christians become the target of harsh sanctions from the United Nations, of the
same kind that Saddam Hussein's regime faced before his final overthrow and execution. People who are truly Bible-believing Christians will be among the very few religionists in the world who will be unable to sign on to this new ecumenical religious racket. We
believe there is only one God, one Holy Book, and one way to eternal life - and that is through Jesus Christ. Christians are exclusivists by doctrine. We cannot budge. We cannot conform
to the ecumenical hodge-podge. We will not bow our knees to Babylon's image. "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved," Acts 4:12 . The purge must eventually begin - sooner, if not later. "Purge" is an operative word here. In the name of religious unity and social order, true Christians will be forbidden to take the liberties they are ordinarily compelled to take. Any person who dares to take God's side by delineating right from wrong, black from white, in from out, will be branded a troublemaker in the New World Order. Ultimately, those who are non-compliant, or non-cooperative types will be purged -- shut down, hauled off and put away. Or worse. Even now, legislation is before the U.S. Congress to ban Christian ministers from speaking against homosexuality, under penalty of law - fines and jail sentences for
preaching out of the Bible!! Canada and some European nations are already criminalizing anti-homosexual speech. Political correctness will eventually eliminate the freedom of religion. The Purge -- it is their idea!
That comment was a part of a presentation to its members, entitled "A World Body For The World Religions? A Historical Perspective" by Rev. Marcus Braybrooke in March, 1996. In street language, Braybrooke was saying that we have to get rid of all the religious voices that do not agree with ecumenical religion, so that all the lying demons since Lucifer will be free to "channel" themselves through these reprobate pawns of religion without any voices being raised in objection. (Braybrooke was pastor of Grace Community Church, San Francisco.) Mikhail Gorbachev used even stronger vernacular in his suggestions of what to do with disagreeable religions: "extirpate" them, he said. That really gets into our space -- MY space!! Why should we even be interested in merging with all the religions in the world? We believe there is only one God, He is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He came to earth in the human form of Jesus Christ, and He is a jealous God - unwilling to share His glory with even one of all the other so-called gods. The latest developments confirm the progress. In January of 2000, The London Telegraph reported that Tony Blair, former UK Prime Minister, hosted an unprecedented event in the Palace of Westminster, in which he brought together leaders of Christian, Islamic, Hindu, Buddhist, Sikh, Jain, Baha'i and Zoroastrian religions. Together, the leaders, wearing "turbans, cassocks, skullcaps, and saffron robes," offered a joint "Act of Commitment." Blair pointed out that such meetings demonstrate how various religions "can reach out across the divide." Eight years later, on May 30, 2008, Tony Blair announced his creation of the "Tony Blair Faith Foundation." On June 1, 2008, writer Eboo Patel, a Rhodes Scholar, and a Muslim member of the Religious Advisory Committee of the Council on Foreign Relations, published an article in the Washington Post, celebrating Tony Blair's efforts to bring the world's religions together. He quoted a recent speech delivered by Blair in New York, saying,
Blair is scheduled to teach at Yale University on "Faith and Globalization." His website reports that "Tony Blair launched his Faith Foundation with a call for
the creation of a new coalition to harness the moral leadership of people of faith." Blair names the six largest religions in his vision: Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism and Sikh. He intends to bring them together. What does it mean to "HARNESS" the leadership? What may be far more intriguing is the fact that Tony Blair seems to be fitting into several significant prophetic roles. Bible Believers Will Ultimately Become Enemies of the State A controversial quote has been in circulation for some time. It was reported that Attorney General Janet Reno, in an interview on 60 Minutes, June 26, 1994, said, "A cultist is one who has a strong belief in the Bible and the Second Coming of Christ; who frequently attends Bible studies; who has a high level of financial giving to a Christian cause; who home schools their children; who has accumulated survival foods and has a strong belief in the Second Amendment; and who distrusts big government. Any of these may qualify [a person as a cultist] but certainly more than one [of these] would cause us to look at this person as a threat, and his family as being in a risk situation that qualified for government interference." Gary Kah and CBN both reported the above statement, yet 60 Minutes has denied that it ever occurred. Both sides are adamant. We may never know if the quote is true, but we can certainly believe that the sentiments of that statement are EXACTLY what the New World Order believes. If you don't think the government would dare interfere with or persecute its own citizens, you need to read up on the Waco Massacre and Ruby Ridge. They have done it before and they will do it again. Just wait until the FBI, CIA, NSA and IRS start knocking on churches' and preachers' doors. Don't say it can't happen. Christians have no choice but to take a stand. At the heart and soul of our dilemma then, is the fact that we are slaves to the Bible. From my childhood, I have believed that the Bible is God revealed, and today I believe it more than ever. I may be one of the last of the Mohicans that believes that the Bible is infallible and inerrant. I believe that if you take out one single letter, it will collapse like pick-up-sticks. Nobody from the UN is going to change my mind about that. Granted, the way I read and interpret the Word of God is not infallible. But God never stipulated that my personal perfection is a precondition to giving heed. In spite of the fact that there are countless professing Christians who have run off in a thousand different directions with this Book, and have effectively perverted it and rendered it useless in their circles of influence, the Word of God still stands on its own merits. Any sincere lover of truth can still take a Bible down from the shelf, dust if off, open it up, and find God. Because we are bound to an uncompromising doctrine, we are viewed as narrow-minded and intolerant "extremists" who are a threat to world peace. Ultimately, Jesus said, "If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you," (John 15:20). We should stick with the Bible at ANY cost! Psalm 2:1-8 says, "Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The God of Heaven and Earth will never be cast out of the earth. The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof. Furthermore, God will certainly judge all His adversaries in His appointed time, and His enemies will be forever silenced. It only makes sense to take sides with my Creator. It makes NO sense to take sides with any of His creatures against HIM. I will stand for Jesus Christ. He will, someday soon, return to establish His throne in Jerusalem, Israel, and nobody is going to be able to stop Him. If I am faithful to Him now, I will rule and reign with Him then. What else needs to be said?
