Antichrist Rising? Will Powerful Islamist Become Next U.N. Secretary General? 1/21/13 This news item slipped through the cracks of the liberal American media. 
One of the world's most powerful Islamists has been nominated for the post of U.N. Secretary General by Saudi Arabia. The term of office of the current UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon will end on June 21, 2016.
According to TREND, a reliable news source in the country of Azerbaijan, dateline 1.14.13, the "Secretary General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu was nominated for the post of the UN Secretary General, the organisation said on Monday." Ihsanoglu has led the 57 member O.I.C. since 2005. The O.I.C. is the largest international body outside the United Nations, representing a global population of more than 1.4 BILLION Muslims. Its members constitute the largest voting block in the United Nations General Assembly. 
The O.I.C. was born in 1969, largely as a response to the Arabic defeat by Israel in the Six-Day War of 1967. Its flag is Green, in the tradition of the Green Flag of Mohammed.
The Charter of the O.I.C. calls for solidarity among Islamic states, and the preservation and promotion of Islamic values worldwide. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu is a TURKISH academic, intellectual and powerful global diplomat, who is overtly dedicated to the defeat of "Islamaphobia" and intolerance of Muslims internationally. I first wrote of Ihsanoglu in 2005, speculating that either he or Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan would be a prime candidate to fulfill the prophecies of Daniel 11:40-45, Isaiah 14:25-27, and others foretelling an ASSYRIAN who will become the MAN OF SIN, spoken of in 2 Thessalonians 2:3. (Ancient Assyria covered the region where Turkey, Syria and Iran now are.) Most people do not realize exactly how the final chapter of Bible prophecy will be fulfilled concerning the Beast, False Prophet and Man of Sin. Revelation 13 describes a European-based, world-government "Beast" and a religious "False Prophet." Many people have assumed that one of these figures is the Antichrist. However, the scriptures are very clear that there is another player called the "Man of Sin." He will be an ASSYRIAN. This is the man who will actually stand in the Third Temple in Jerusalem and commit the Abomination of Desolation that will precipitate the final 42 months leading to the great and final battle of Armageddon, in which Jesus Christ will overthrow and conquer all His enemies. The ASSYRIAN's act in committing the Abomination of Desolation will trigger the Great Tribulation, also known as "Jacob's Trouble" in Daniel 12. In a nutshell, the European "Beast" and Roman "False Prophet" of Revelation 13:11, 19:20 and 20:10 will endorse the Assyrian (almost certainly Muslim) Man of Sin to govern or oversee Jerusalem, and probably the newly-formed State of Palestine. That endorsement will be an easy and natural choice if that Assyrian happens to be the U.N. Secretary-General. in the GLORIOUS HOLY MOUNTAIN [of Jerusalem]; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him," Daniel 11:45. except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God," 2 Thessalonians 2:4. Jesus Himself spoke of that event in Matthew 24:15 and Mark 13:14, warning all Jews who live in Judea (the West Bank) to IMMEDIATELY flee. such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be, And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened," Matthew 24:21-22. What does all this mean? IF indeed the Saudis are successful in installing someone like Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu or Tayyip Erdogan as the Secretary General of the United Nations, I have no doubt that the Roman Catholic Church and the European power-brokers (who are already heavily influenced by Islamists) will waste no time in pushing the Palestinian state into existence and placing someone of the stature of Mr. Ihsanoglu in charge of Jerusalem, in order to establish a powerful, globally-accepted Muslim in charge of the entire Israeli-Palestinian future. An eventuality of this kind would be a perfect fulfillment of several key Bible prophecies. A man of that stature and identity would be the perfect fulfillment of the Biblical antichrist. As late as November 15, 2012, Mr. Ihsanoglu spoke to members of the O.I.C., saying, We have, at the OIC, exerted considerable and dedicated efforts to combat this phenomenon whose pace has increased recently as shown in the reports of the OIC Islamophobia Observatory, ...We have raised this issue with political and religious elites we have met in different parts of the world, underscoring its dangerous impacts on the prevalence of international peace and security. Thanks to these efforts, we managed to convince the UN Human Rights Council, ...to adopt the consensual resolution 16/18 which includes a genuine condemnation of the defamation of religions and discrimination against people on religious grounds. ...The UN General Assembly adopted the resolution by consensus under number 66/167. ...To enhance the chances of these two resolutions being implemented on the ground, I put forward 'the Istanbul process' initiative in July 2011 which reaffirms the two resolutions, followed by a similar initiative in Washington in December of the same year. A third initiative will follow in England in the name of the European Union in December this year. ...The adoption of these two consensual resolutions by the UN Human Rights Council and the General Assembly respectively is indeed a positive development that gives us the opportunity to concentrate on important issues away from politicization and polarization. ...I am convinced that the confidence-building efforts exerted in the 'Istanbul Process' meeting and approved by international and regional stakeholders will pave the way for increased confidence and cooperation between all parties." Anway Ashki, head of the Saudi Centre for Strategic Studies, praised Ihsanoglu as "the most suitable candidate for the post of the UN Secretary General." So here we have a man who is an international champion of Muslim causes who is being put forward by Saudi Arabia as a choice candidate for U.N. Secretary General. "The Istanbul Process" in the name of the European Union? Ihsanoglu informed the O.I.C. that he put forward the "'ISTANBUL PROCESS' in the name of the European Union." Why is the Secretary General of the largest Islamic body in the world putting forth a global Islamic agenda in the name of the European Union? How and when did Mr. Ihsanoglu acquire the license to put forth an Islamic agenda in the name of the European Union? I believe these are ominous, tell-tale developments about the future relationships between the E.U, Roman Catholicism and Islam. I cannot possibly tell you, in the brevity of this article, how prophetically significant that statement is. In as few words as possible, I will simply tell you that the European "Beast" and Roman "False Prophet" of Revelation 13 will eventually succumb to the influence of Islam. The "Istanbul Process" is the perfect "Assyrian" coup; a perfect interjection of Turkish, Assyrian, and Islamic polity into European politics. That is all I will say for now. Only God and time will tell exactly how this scenario will unfold. concerning the rise of an Assyrian Man of Sin will soon come to pass, whether or not it is Mr. Ihsanoglu. Here is why... "The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand: That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders. This is the purpose that is purposed upon the whole earth: and this is the hand that is stretched out upon all the nations. For the LORD of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?" Isaiah 14:24-27. This is an Armageddon prophecy. Jesus will meet and destroy the Assyrian at Armageddon.
